Eyes left, Eyes right, but not…

Parent Consultations were never the same for me after the one where the parents were in the nude.

Sunbathing when on holiday, for hours on end, is not my scene.  The alternative of walking along a beach is readily chosen. On occasions I would walk for miles. It was on one of these ‘excursions’ that my walk unexpectedly took me into a section of a beach dedicated to nudists.

Not wishing to appear embarrassed, I walked along the said beach for a further 50 metres or so, looking at my watch to give the impression that I was concerned about the time, not the state of undress which I had only previously noticed.

As I turned to retrace my steps back to my starting point, I heard my name and a ‘WHOO HOO’ called out by two parents (also on holiday) who then bounded down the sandy slopes in my direction and were ‘starkers’.

The conversation was brief to say the least ! It was mostly in regards to an injury their son had sustained in a PE lesson and his subsequent lengthy recovery.

My wife often tells me that my ‘eye to eye’ contact when I am speaking to people is not as good as it should be.

I can assure you that on this occasion I was fully focussed on their eyes and nowhere else!
