Our Headmaster was proud of his yellow Citroen 2CV.
He was delighted to be able to ‘peel’ back the roof lid on his journey to school on sunny summer mornings. Unfortunately, on one such morning, he forgot to close the roof and later that morning there was a fierce thunderstorm which filled the car with a considerable amount of rain water!
The car, which was parked outside the staff room, was then seen to be tipped fully on it’s side by four beefy sixth formers, under the Headmaster’s supervision, thus emptying the water !
