On arriving to school on Friday a member of staff came up to me to relate a conversation he had with a group of students the day before. He told me how some young people had said to him that they thought I was looking sad because of the behaviour of some of our children outside school. They said they thought it unfair that I should get blamed for what happens outside school. They then said they would behave “extra good” to even things up!
