No sex please, we are studying

I recall, a good few years ago, the then current Minister of state for Education,  indicate that formal sex education lessons may not be needed if schools can raise pupils’ overall grades across the curriculum. This view must presumably have been based on his belief that there was a direct correlation between how well students are doing overall academically and their burgeoning interest in sex.
