Testing…testing …

The Head Teacher was a commanding figure and was in an exceptionally bad mood as students had behaved very badly the previous day in the local community. In an assembly in the main school hall he was in the midst of forcefully expressing his disapproval and you could have heard a pin drop.   As he reached a crescendo with his voice rising he said ‘ I’ve just got one last thing to say to you…’

At this exact moment someone, somewhere in the school, was repairing the school’s PA system.

Over the tannoy in the hall came the words from the man testing the system –

‘I’m H A P P Y,  I’m H A P P Y’ with the letters spelled out individually.

Staff and students struggled to contain themselves and the Head Teacher walked out of the hall to find the PA tester….
